Cursillo

A Cursillo for men took place recently at the monastery. On September 25 - 28, 200, about sixty- five men gathered for prayer, study, and mutual support experienced within a community setting. Fr. James Cink and Fr. Steve Williams, with deacons Malcolm Zellner and Kenny Kaiser celebrated the sacraments of the Eucharist, reconciliation and anointing of the sick.

Two weeks later, on October 9 - 12, 2008, sixty women shared an exuberant weekend as they, too, engaged in the cursillo movement's program for spiritual maturity and active life in the Church. Msgr. Michael Farmer, Vicar General and Chancellor for the Mobile Archdiocese, was the priest, and Rev. Dr. Samuel Shippen served as deacon.
