SR.THERESA - POSTULANT |
Theresa Ervin - better known as Terry to her family and friends - recently became a postulant, taking the first step in her formation as a member of the Visitation Order. Originally from Japan, she converted to Christianity from Buddhism as a young woman. At the time of her marriage to James Ervin, an American pilot, she and her husband both entered the Catholic Church. A widow of many years, she has five beautiful daughters. She resided in Tavares, Florida, and belonged to St. Patrick's parish in nearby Mount Dora before entering the monastery. Throughout her life as a wife and mother, Sr. Theresa has always been active in the Church, and has strong connections with the Trappist monks in Conyers, Georgia, as well as with numerous other priests and religious. Please pray for Sr. Theresa as she continues her journey of faith and commitment to her life in Christ. |
